Wolves, led by Rimas Kurtinitis, won their first match in the King Mindaugas Cup on Wednesday.
In the second match of Group A, the Wolves recovered from the setback against Neptunas and defeated Prienai Labas GAS 95:70 (33:13, 20:19, 19:23, 23:15).
In the KMT match, Filipino Juan Gomez de Liano, who joined the Wolves last week, played his first minutes for the team, missing both shots, grabbing 4 rebounds, and receiving one personal foul in just over 6 minutes of play.
Kurtinitis’ team basically secured the victory in the first quarter, which they won 33:13.
Kristupas Žemaitis was the best player for the Wolves, scoring 17 points and grabbing 2 rebounds.
After two convincing victories in a few days, the Wolves will now prepare for Saturday’s game against Vilnius Rytas.
